Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

With proper care, your tattoo should heal within 1-4 weeks. Healing times can vary from person to person.

Repeat the following procedure 3-4 times a day.

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Wet the tattoo.
  3. With your hands, wash the tattoo using fragrance-free anti-bacterial soap.
  4. Rinse ALL of the soap off of your tattoo.
  5. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
  6. Apply unscented lotion to tattoo.

Until your tattoo is healed:

  • No swimming, hot tubs, baths, or soaking of your tattoo. Showers are fine.
  • Do not allow others to touch your tattoo unless their hands are washed and clean. 
  • Do not expose your tattoo to the sun for a prolonged period of time.
  • Do not engage in any activities that could expose your tattoo to extensive amounts of dirt or bacteria.

Derm Shield Aftercare Instructions

  • If bandage leaks, take off within 24 hours of initial application.
  • If bandage does not leak, leave on for up to FIVE days from initial application. 
  • Remove bandage under running water, SLOOWWWLY. Do NOT remove quickly like a Band-Aid.
  • Bandage will fill up with fluid such as blood, ink, etc. It will look DISGUSTING. This is normal.
  • Did we mention how gross it will look?
  • Upon removal, care for your tattoo as per usual after care instructions.

Piercing Aftercare

With proper care, your piercing should heal within 6 weeks to a year depending on the piercing. Healing times can vary from person to person.

For Ear, Eyebrow, Nostril, Septum & Genital Piercings:

  1. Apply saline solution to clean Q-tip or cotton ball.
  2. Lightly clean inside and outside of pierced area.
  3. Repeat 3x a day.

For Tongue, Lip & Other Oral Piercings:

  1. Apply saline solution to clean Q-tip or cotton ball.
  2. Clean external piercing area.
  3. Repeat 3x a day.
  4. Rinse with alcohol free mouthwash after eating, drinking & smoking.
  5. Avoid oral contact.

Until your piercing is fully healed

DO NOT touch your piercing.

DO NOT remove your jewelry.

DO NOT swim in lakes, rivers, or hot tubs.
